THE FEMININE POWER

Once upon a time, in a far away land where trees fly like birds and birds lay still like trees, there lived a fierce and fearless king who conquered lands, near and far. His reign over his kingdom and surrounding provinces was absolute. His word was regarded as law and no dares challenge him. He was a good king loved but dreaded by most. Whenever he presided over the royal council, he allows his chiefs to deliberate but his stance when taken must be obeyed even if deficient.
“Lanleyin must be hanged to death,” roared the king with a terrifying voice. A noisy silence followed as the chiefs disturbed by the decision dare not make their grievances known.
“It was an heinous crime, I agree, lashes of the cane suffices but to take the young man’s life, I don’t agree”, one of the chiefs taught to himself. The thought is not his alone as the countenance on the faces of others indicated. They dare not utter their discontent for fear of ending in the king’s bad book.
“We’d arranged a meeting with the queen,” said one of the chiefs. The rest of them hurriedly agreed. It has become known to the royal council that whoever seeks to get obeisance from the king despite his rigidness should go through the queen. The very next council meeting, it didn’t come as a surprise when the king himself, without persuasion, changed his tone on his previous declaration.
“Hundred lashes of the cane for Lanleyin, his was a grievous offense but to send him to the land of the ancestors is like killing a gnat with a sledgehammer,” the king said with a voice mired in certainty.
“You’ve spoken well my king”, all the chiefs rhymed in unison. The queen had performed her magic,…. as always.
It is very probable that the tale of the powerful king didn’t grace our ears but the chances are almost down to nothing that the tale of Samson who fell to the cunningness of his own queen - Delila - missed our earlobes. There are numerous anecdotes of strong, fierce men who got wallowed in defeat due to the antics of women who burrowed into them bit by bit. However, the woman who triumphed over her man by standing chest to ‘something in the place of chest’ is rarely seen. The real power of a woman lies in her feminine nature. The ability to excoriate through the manliness of the male gender to find the weak spot. Just like Samson, every man could be tamed by having his hair shaved.
Few years ago, I wrote somewhere that “a wise woman controls her man with wit and not will.” A woman who intends to scream a man to silence, scold a man into submission, frustrate a man into yielding, risks fighting a battle in the strong terrain of the enemy. Even if the man walks away - an ephemeral victory for you - the lady forever taints her dignity. The innate potentials women have is enough to scurry men to howsoever they wish but it has to be successfully tapped into. The brightness of the moon on her face, the raised valleys arranged side by side on her thorax, the soft loaves of tissues behind tilted at an angle of depression, the tasty nectar stuffed between her legs; men, regardless of the power they claim to profess, performs pilgrimage within this four trajectory. All a woman needs to do is to summon her feminism from the inside and build her passage to the temple of her man.
